Beautiful Decorative Antique Persian Malayer Runner Rug 4271, Country of Origin: Antique Persian Rugs; Circa Date: 1920 –This antique Persian Malayer runner rug features an intricate all-over design of floral, geometric and linear abstractions, leaves and arabesques in shades of muted aqua green and beige against a field of light beige. A thin aqua green border with repeating serrated leaf patterns on two sides completes the look of the antique carpet. Antique Malayer rugs come from the city of Malayer in Iran and were, for the most part, created by individual weavers during the 19th and early 20th centuries. These antique Persian rugs and carpets are singular in their broad range of designs and color palette, making them stunning artistic creations. The value of the rugs reflects their artistry in that the diversity of design and color is somewhat atypical for other styles of Persian rugs.
